Dunes, Waves or Whatever
Pieces of land that question what is real and what is not ; is it the surface defined by its visibility as an optical evidence or its beneath that is revealed to take over this visibilty? could the visible be defined as real? does it become unreal by showing its beneath? These questions are asked through a "photogenic conflict" between the surface and its structure.
This work is a topographic attempt that investigates the materialisation of an illusion ; from order to chaos to abstraction.
On the other hand this series explores the emptiness projected through the surface ; this football field was supposed to be flat, the flatness symbolises the void while the actual chaotic status of its ground makes it deserted and non-functional for a possible game that is from now on "ABSENT". And yet these chaotic shapes formed by its ground, they fill this void inside me against all flatness and emptiness ; calling me to come over and take these photographs “out of nothing”.
