Everyday's View
In this work i express my feeling towards the outside view(s) from where i live. Each different view is occupied by a breathing tube that interacts with the landscape represented through these compositions. The concept behind using this breathing tube is to show this outside as a very «routine space» as regular as my very own breathing. The tube takes invading and suffocating shapes that symbolize the sickness of being exposed to this same dull outside day after day. The view from my windows has become a non-breathing space.
“Sometimes it is in being outside itself that being tests consistencies. Sometimes, too, it is closed in, as it were, on the outside. Later I shall give a poetic text in which the prison is on the outside.” Gaston Bachelard, The Poetics of Space, translated from French by Maria Jolas.
